oliveirafrancisco.com — March 2026 — Joining OESL as IT Solution Manager
I'm a Mechanical Engineer turned Digital Transformation Professional. I've spent the last three years inside a real enterprise programme, not theorising about one. At Continental AG I was embedded in a global Jaggaer rollout from day one: functional design, cross-border workshops, a major mid-project architectural pivot, implementation, UAT, training, and formal project close.
What drives me is when things that were broken start working. When a group of people who've been arguing past each other for weeks finally reach the same conclusion and do something about it.
I represented the sustainability purchasing workstream throughout: managing stakeholders across countries, functions, and seniority levels, presenting to senior management, and leading a 5-month agile sprint cycle as business-side coordinator. About 75% of user stories made it to production; the rest were formally transitioned to a next phase by design.
Now joining OESL as IT Solution Manager, taking ownership of business applications in Purchasing and Finance. The logical move: get closer to the IT side before stepping in to lead bigger programmes.
01
That shift when people stop arguing about the problem and start moving toward a fix.
02
Risk analysis and planning aren't tasks to me. It's how I think.
03
Not presentations or slide decks. Things that get built, shipped, and work the way they were supposed to.
04
Not randomly. Everything I'm doing connects to something I'm building toward. I know exactly why I'm here.

Building
Early stage. Building a tool for clinic managers that makes their daily work less painful. The goal is simple: ship something real, learn from it, do it again.
Working
Wrapping up three years on PSuite, Continental's global Jaggaer rollout. Joining OESL as IT Solution Manager, responsible for business applications in Purchasing and Finance.
Learning
Trying to figure out where AI tools change how a business runs. And where they're mostly noise. The gap between large companies and small teams is closing fast. I want to know which parts of that hold up.
Enterprise digital transformation and IT solution programmes
IT solution management, procurement digitalization, business-IT integration. If you're navigating a complex transformation or building out capability in this space, I want to hear about it.
Founders who want a thinking partner, not a vendor
If you want someone to sit across from you, understand your strategy, and tell you what they see. Let's talk.
Collaborators building things that matter for businesses
AI, process automation, operational tooling. I'm building in this space and want to be around others doing the same.
Honest conversations about what it takes to build a business
No polish needed. I learn most from people who tell it straight.
Education
FCTUC · Coimbra
Built the technical base. How to break a problem apart, work through it without shortcuts, and not lose the thread when things get complicated.
2018 – 2021Industry
Mahle & SEW-Eurodrive · Portugal
First time inside real industrial operations. Processes that don't bend, tight constraints, people who've been doing this for decades. No simulations.
2019 & 2021Education
FEUP · Porto
Went deeper on the technical side. More complex problems, higher stakes, and the point where you start realising how much is still genuinely uncertain.
2021 – 2023International
Continental AG · Hannover, Germany
First real exposure to working internationally. Different language, different culture, different way of running meetings and making decisions. Figured out I could adapt. And that I liked it.
Feb – Jun 2023Certification
Tecminho · Portugal
Project Management training at TecMinho / University of Minho Interface (2024), followed by the CAPM® from PMI in September 2025. Putting a name on what I was already doing on the ground.
2024 – 2025Current Role
Continental AG · Lousado, Portugal
Embedded in PSuite (Continental's global Jaggaer rollout) across the full project lifecycle: functional design, cross-border workshops, a mid-project architectural pivot, implementation, UAT, user training, and formal handover. Represented the sustainability purchasing workstream, managed stakeholders across countries and seniority levels, led a 5-month agile sprint cycle as business-side coordinator. ~75% of user stories delivered to production; the remaining 25% formally scoped to next phase.
Sept 2023 – PresentBuilding
Independent · Early Stage
Developing a tool that delivers daily operational value to clinic managers. Learning what it really means to build something people pay for.
2025 – PresentNext Role
Taking ownership of business applications in Purchasing and Finance. Moving from business-side delivery into full IT solution ownership. Three years learning how these systems work from the inside. Now on the other side of the table.
